Clay Township Museums
The Clay/Algonac Historical Society has a new display building located on the municipal grounds next to the Log Cabin. It houses watercraft from local boat builders such as Chris Craft and Garwood.
The log cabin dates back to the early 1800's and contains many artifacts. It is open on Log Cabin Day in June.
The museum is located in a historic building located at 1240 St. Clair River Drive (across from the Dairy Queen) in downtown Algonac.
Log Cabin Day
On log cabin day join us at the authentic 1800's log cabin located at 4710 Pte. Tremble Road. The cabin will be open and filled with historical items used by Algonac/Clay Township residents in the past. In addition, there will be an antique quilt display, crafts, farm implements, a DUR station and other artifacts.
